For the third year in a row, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will

be requiring all 11th-graders in public schools to take the ACT test. Students that are homeschooled or

enrolled in a private school, but are residents of the district, may also participate in the test. The test will be

administered on Wednesday, April 19 from approximately 7:30 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. at Nixa High

School. DESE is providing the ACT with no cost to students. Those 11th-grade homeschool or private

school students that live in the Nixa Public School District that wish to take the ACT on April 19 must

contact Mr. Clay Hanna, Executive Director of Secondary Education, to indicate their interest in

participation no later than Friday, February 24 at 417-449-3183.
