There have been significant changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) process that will impact students. The changes allows students to submit a FAFSA earlier. They can file as early as October 1, 2016, rather than January 1, 2017. Students will be required to report income information from an earlier tax year. For example, on the 2017-2018 school year's FAFSA parents and students will report their 2015 income information. A FSA ID is required before you can file your FAFSA.
