- JUNIOR HIGH
The renovation of the Nixa Junior High theatre, the expansion of four classrooms, and the construction of a new multi-purpose space are more than halfway completed. The theatre is getting some much-needed upgrades, including brand new seats, a new audio-visual system, and more. Four classroom shells are now being renovated to accommodate the more than 1,000 students at the junior high. Lastly, crews have been busy constructing a new 7,000-square-foot addition that will be used for wrestling and other activities.

Our Sodexo crews plowed and shoveled the latest snowfall to hit Nixa. Starting last Sunday, they got to work removing as much as they could in the bitter cold. An example of great teamwork came when a crew member who was stuck at home wanted to help, so another employee went to pick him up. A simple act of kindness that shows their dedication.

The Aetos Singers from Nixa High School were selected by audition to perform at the 88th annual Missouri Music Educators Association conference. This is the first MMEA appearance for the Aetos Singers (formed three years ago), and the judges described their anonymous audition submission as "nearly flawless" with "richness of tone and elegant phrasing."

Later this week, the JTSD Discovery Singers will travel to the Lake of the Ozarks area to perform at the 2026 Missouri Music Educators Association conference. This is the third time JTSD has been invited to MMEA, and the first since 2021. The choir is made up of more than 100 students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Congratulations on this incredible honor 👏!
