What is Nixa Early Childhood?
Nixa Early Childhood provides preschool services for 3 and 4-year-olds in the Nixa School District. Our classes provide an age-appropriate curriculum, taught by certified teachers, as you would find in any elementary school. We strive to implement best practices when it comes to early childhood education.
The Early Childhood Program is housed in two different buildings, located on one campus. Nixa Early Childhood Center (ECC) and the Peggy L. Taylor Early Learning Center (ELC). Our Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) has its home in the ECC. The ELC is not only the home of our Title I and tuition-based preschool classes, but Parents as Teachers (PAT) and XLT also have a place here.
Eagle Care, part of the XLT Program
Eagle Care is the name of the wrap-around care housed in the ELC for the Nixa Early Childhood students. Eagle Care is run by the XLT program and provides care for children from 2 years old to 5 years old. Eagle Care provides both before and aftercare to the students who are enrolled in the Early Childhood program. The XLT program is responsible for all Eagle Care placements and the program billing is also done separately through them. For more information: https://www.nixapublicschools.net/Page/2123
