What is Nixa Early Childhood?
Nixa Early Childhood provides preschool services for three and four-year-olds in the Nixa School District. The vision of Nixa Early Childhood is to nurture the whole child as creative, confident, life-long learners with 21st-century skills who explore their world through active discovery. The school communities will collaborate to provide differentiated instruction and learning in safe, social, supportive, and engaging environments. Our teachers are Missouri-certified teachers, as you would find in any elementary school.
The Early Childhood Program is housed in two buildings on one campus. Nixa Early Childhood Center (ECC) and the Peggy L. Taylor Early Learning Center (ELC). Our Early Learning Center houses tuition and Title One preschool classes, as well as XLT (Eagle Care),a wrap-around daycare. Our Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program and the Peer Model program, as well as Parents as Teachers, have their homes in the ECC.
