Speech Interpretation is a co-curricular performance class. Students are required to perform in class and will have the opportunity to attend up to eleven weekend competitions throughout the school year (and expected to compete at two tournaments, minimum).  This course differs from Speech and Debate 5050 in that students will primarily focus on interpretive, performance-based speech events, rather than a majority of debate events.  A portion of the students’ grades comes from attending and recruiting judges for the NHS’s home tournament and district competitions.
