BLACKBOARD is our learning management system used to enhance learning and communication with JH/HS students and parents.
What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is a web-based learning management system that Nixa Schools use to extend learning beyond the traditional classroom. With Blackboard, teachers and students collaborate with web tools such as discussion boards, audio/video tutorials, virtual class meetings, email, and online quizzes/tests. Since Blackboard is web-based, users have access from most Internet enabled platforms, including computers, iPads, tablets, and smart phones (Blackboard Mobile Learn apps available for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry)
How do students connect to Blackboard?
All High School and Junior High students and staff have Blackboard accounts. Students can access their accounts by clicking the logo above or at http://nixa.blackboard.com.
How do parents connect to Blackboard?
Everyone is welcome to visit the Nixa Public Schools Blackboard site at https://nixa.blackboard.com/. All guests have access to our class and organization catalogs, as well as classroom pages where you’ll find objectives, lesson plans, and announcements.
*Parents are encouraged to follow their student's Blackboard account by signing up for a “Parent Blackboard account”
*Creating a parent account allows you access to almost all features of your child's courses including Daily Lessons and Assignments.
We hope you’ll find Blackboard useful and convenient. Please feel free to contact Bill Hill at firstname.lastname@example.org. if you have any questions.
