    This course of study is designed for the beginning or novice archer and will provide the students with an introduction into Archery.  The course will follow curriculum outlined within th National Archery in Schools Program (NASP).  The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic techniques of indoor target archery highlighting the care of use of equipment, range safety, stance, shooting techniques, scoring, and competition.  Students will learn the basic methods of archery emphasizing the 11 Steps to Archery Success.  Students will be instructed in the basic equipment used in archery including how to nock, draw, aim and shoot arrows into targets.  Students will also be exposed to basic rules, competitions and etiquette associated eith target archery.
