Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Chris Wilson

First, you need to know that I am a geek and I celebrate all things nerd. I hope to help your kids learn to celebrate the things they love and embrace their geeky side.

I've had several careers in my lifetime before finding my calling in teaching. I started out as the Managing Editor of a weekly newspaper. I then ran an agency for people with disabilities for a decade. After that, I went back to college to get my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I wrote my thesis on comics in the classroom.

I am a published author. I have contributed to three textbooks on literacy and have published my own young adult fantasy novel with Goldminds Publishing. It is the first in a series of three books. Writing has been a big part of my life and I hope to instill that love of storytelling into my students.

I co-sponsor the Hall of Heroes comic book club with Summer Holmes and co-sponsor the Eagle Robotics––Big Bot Theory robotics team with Briana Rodgers, another fifth grade teacher.

I am married and have one daughter, a dog and a cat. I also ride a motorcycle.
