On the first Sunday in December, the city of Nixa conducts its annual Christmas Parade. Nixa JROTC participates in this annual event by providing a marching platoon and color guard. The JROTC element leads the parade just behind the DARE vehicle. Cadets march in a mass formation carrying various military and patriotic flags. The parade consists of various floats constructed by local clubs, organizations, and religious communities.
