Please note: all children must be toilet trained before the first day of school and meet the Missouri Preschool Immunization Requirements.
Students turning 5 on or before July 31st, 2018 are kindergarten eligible, and therefore, will not be able to attend Nixa Early Childhood. SEE HERE

2020-2021 Interest List
The interest list will start fresh January 15, 2020, at 9:00 am and names will not be transferred from the previous year. Please only add eligible students to this list. Current Nixa Early Childhood students do not need to be added to this list. The interest list grows quickly, the earlier in January you put your child on the list the better.
To place your child on our 2020-2021 Interest list please check back to our main page on January 15th.
What comes next?
In the spring our Parents as Teachers (PAT) will begin contacting families for preschool screenings. Please note, just because you have a screening completed does not guarantee you have a spot. We will be screening more kids than spots available. If you are not contacted early by PAT, we will hold a mass screening day in March. This date has not been determined, but your information from the interest list will be used to notify you. Parents always have questions about the DIAL Screening we give. The DIAL is an assessment of your child’s development and NOT a requirement for enrollment into the Early Childhood program. You can find a more DIAL information HERE.
Late April we will begin placements. We typically place our Role Model and Title students first. By the end of school we will have placed all students, including those in our tuition classes. Class types and costs are found HERE.
How will I know if my child received placement?
We communicate strictly via email. The first question on our interest list asks if you have read and understand the way in which we communicate. You will be emailed and given 48-72 hours to respond.
Between the ELC and ECC, we have placements for approximately 300 students. Each year, we expect to place around 120 new students. All 3 year old students are automatically roll up to our 4 year old program. We place around 70, new 3 year olds and 50, new 4 years olds each year. Unfortunately, we are unable to enroll all eligible children who show interest.
