Ms. Cathy Dauzat

Cathy Dauzat, Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at the ECC. She was raised on a farm in Southwest Kansas. After moving to Springfield Missouri she graduated from Central Bible College and Southwest Missouri State (MSU).  She started as a paraprofessional and has taught Early Childhood Special Education in Nixa since 1998. Cathy has a Masters in Education and has a passion for helping children with varying abilities build foundational skills for successful lives.

Mrs. Jodi Hazlewood

Jodi Hazlewood, ECSE Teacher at Nixa ECC. Jodi is originally from a small town called Bono in Northeast Arkansas and moved to Springfield in 2015. She now lives in Ozark and loves teaching at Nixa! While in Arkansas, Jodi taught 3- year-olds with special needs in a preschool therapeutic clinic. She has been teaching at the ECC since August, 2015. Jodi's passion is working with children of all abilities and helping them get ready for kindergarten socially and academically.

Mrs. Kelsey Houston

Kelsey Houston is an Early Childhood Special Needs Teacher at the Early Childhood Center. Kelsey has lived in this area her entire life. She grew up in Willard, MO and now is a resident of Ozark. Kelsey received her bachelors degree in special needs education from MSU and began her teaching career at Nixa in 2017. Kelsey's passion is working with students of all abilities and assisting them in creating meaningful peer relationships and educational experiences. She believes building a strong foundation of social and emotional skills at the early childhood level truly helps all students in preparing for kindergarten. Learning through play and building loving and lasting relationships with students and families is Kelsey's favorite part of her career.

Mrs. Kecia Roemen

Kecia Roemen is an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at the Early Childhood Center. She has lived in Nixa since 2008 but is originally from Nebraska. Kecia has been teaching in Nixa since 2010, before that she taught 9 years in Iowa. She received her Bachelors degree in special education, from the University of Nebraska and Masters degree from Lindenwood University. Kecia has a passion for incorporating innovative strategies that help students learn new skills.

Ms. Kaylee Stafford

Kaylee Stafford, is an ECSE teacher in the ECC. Kaylee has lived in this area her entire life. She began teaching at Reeds Spring in 2014 and has been in Nixa since 2016. In 2018, Kaylee graduated with her Masters in Early Childhood Special Education/Autism from the University of Missouri. Kaylee enjoys spending time with her classroom children and seeing them achieve new things. She has three small dogs that she enjoys spending time with.

Mrs. Wendi Watson

Wendi Watson, is an Early Childhood Special Education teacher for the Nixa Early Childhood Center. She is originally from Mississippi, she moved to Missouri in May of 2012. Wendi began teaching in Nixa in August of 2012, before that she taught 12 1/2 years in Mississippi. Wendi has a passion in laying the educational foundation for the success of all students during their educational journey by fostering, encouraging, and building an educational partnership with their families.
