As a five-star recruit from Elbert County High School, Mecole Hardman committed to the University of Georgia. As a standout wide-receiver and return specialist for UGA, Mecole helped bring Georgia a SEC Championship in 2017. After his junior year Mecole decided to enter the 2019 NFL draft, where he was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round. Mecole has since been named a Pro Bowler and has been a vital part of three Super Bowl Championships with the Chiefs.

Outside of football, family is the most important thing to Mecole. He describes his mother and his father as his best friends. Mecole and his partner have a one-year-old baby boy who they named after Mecole's father, Carey Mecole Hardman, Sr., and now they are waiting the arrival of their second child, a baby girl.

Mecole signed with the New York Jets in March of 2023 and was traded back to the Chiefs seven months later.  In Super Bowl LVIII, Hardman scored the game-winning walk-off touchdown in overtime.

In this special evening in the Meridian Title Performance Hall with Hardman, he will share about his life, challenges, and how he found success as a way to inspire others to follow their dreams and the hard work it takes to achieve those. This event is also a fundraiser for Care to Learn.  Proceeds from the evening will go to help meet the health, hunger, and hygiene needs of local students.

Donations to Care to Learn can also be made when purchasing tickets or the night of the event.

Care to Learn was founded to help students succeed. It was created to help the child who desperately needed a pair of new shoes and the child who didn't have enough food to make it through the weekend. By meeting the needs of students in the areas of health, hunger, and hygiene, Care to Learn can bring hope and help to students who desperately need it. Nixa’s Care to Learn chapter has seen an increase in the number of students needing assistance through their Back Pack Buddy program, where food is sent home with students in need every weekend throughout the school year.  The goal of the evening is to raise enough funds to take care of 100 students through the Back Pack Buddy Program.

  • We Are Messengers is fronted by Darren Mulligan, a single-minded Irish man who writes rock n’ roll anthems and intimate earthly psalms for messy broken people. The goal has always been to engage culture in conversation about the goodness of God and to put words and melody to some of the hardest things we feel as humans. This is a band that understands and loves the outsiders, the marginalized, the lost and the least. We Are Messengers have built a career, the old-fashioned way, on the road touring relentlessly around the USA, Europe and beyond. They have had 11 consecutive top 10 radio singles including the multi chart #1 hit song “Come What May” and the Gold certified “Maybe It’s OK’. Collaboration has been a cornerstone of We Are Messengers distinctive sound. In 2020 country legend Vince Gill joined the band on a one take stripped back version of “Image of God” captured live and acoustic at Vince’s place. Features by Cory Asbury, Josh Baldwin, Ben Fuller, Blanca, Naomi Raine of Maverick City and Christian Hip Hop legend KB have followed.

Ben Fuller unashamedly shares his story of how God dramatically found him. After a 14-year struggle with addiction, he was set free in Jesus’ name, and passionately tells of the hope he found in Jesus through his music. His debut single, “Who I Am” went #1 on multiple Christian radio charts, and he was named Pandora Artist to Watch in 2023. He’s toured with Casting Crowns and Zach Williams, and shared the sold out Nissan Stadium stage with Jo Dee Messina at CMA fest. His current single, “If I Got Jesus” received more than 20 first week ads and continues to climb the radio charts.
