    My name is Nancy Doubrava and this is my 10th year as a School Counselor. This is my 5th year at Nixa Public Schools.  This is truly the best school!

    I have been married to Brian for 11 years and we have 2 children.  Declan is 6 and Stella is 2 months old.  They keep us very busy!  I love to spend time with my family and friends, run, Crossfit, read, and watch my favorite television shows.

     I am excited to work with the 8th grade students at Nixa Junior High. Every day is exciting and brings new challenges. I love being a counselor and am so thankful to have the opportunity to work with you. I work with a wonderful team of administrators, Mrs. Dollar, teachers, and staff.

    My name is Kelly Dollar and I have been a counselor for 19 years and 31 years in Education. This is my 11th year at Nixa Public Schools and it is the best job that I have ever had! Before I became a school counselor I was a high school business teacher at Camdenton High School.

    I  have 2 daughters. Lauren is an elementary education teacher in Phoenix, Arizona.  Megan is a junior at Mizzou.

     I love coming to work every day and helping junior high aged students. Each day is a new day and I am challenged to be a better counselor with each new situation I deal with here at NJH. I have great support from teachers, counselors and administrators which makes my job easier to do.

    Part Time Counselor

    My name is Kari Kleinsmith and this is my 33rd year in
    education. I retired with Nixa Public Schools in May and am
    so excited to return to the JH two days a week.

    I have been married to Stephen for 28 years and we have
    been blessed with two sons. Our oldest Elijah lives and works
    in Kansas City and Jacob is attending OTC.

    I am excited to help in the counseling office at the Junior
    High this year. ?I believe counseling is all about relationships:
    expressing genuine care and concern, offering comfort and
    support, and hope for healing. Please stop by and see me.

    My name is Jenni McCarthy and I am the Nixa Junior High School program assistant to our counselors.  My daily duties are assisting our JH counselors, attendance and records management.  This is my fourth year working for Nixa Public Schools.  Prior to working for Nixa Public Schools I was a mortgage loan processor and teller supervisor in the banking business.


    I have been married to my husband Jason for almost nineteen years.  My greatest joy is being a mother to our son Justin and our daughter Jordyn.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, boating, and fishing.


    This is the most rewarding job I have ever had.  I could not ask for a job that I love more.  Each day is new and different.  I love working with junior high aged students and our amazing, fun and caring teachers and staff.  I hope your child enjoys the experiences he/she will have at the Nixa Junior High School.
