Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Denise Bresee. This is my first year of teaching at Inman Intermediate and I am excited to be teaching 6th grade resource. I have a bachelor degree from Grand Canyon University in special education and elementary education. I also have a English as second language endorsement and hope to gain my masters degree in the very near future.
I grew up in Ozark and graduated in 1984 from high school there. I then married the love of my life and moved to Louisiana for a couple of years. We moved back to Missouri in 1990 and I worked while my husband attended MSU and graduated in 1994. Soon after I had boy/girl twins which are now 19. When my children started elementary school I knew I wanted to be a big part of their education. I began working as a paraprofessional at Fordland Elementary and loved every minute of it. I was a Title I reading paraprofessional, one on one paraprofessional, food service secretary, and special education paraprofessional. After my children entered high school, I decided to go back to college and earn my education degree to become a certified teacher. I student taught in Seymour Missouri and last year worked in the Springfield School district at Jeffries Elementary and Sherwood Elementary. I am so blessed to be a part of the Nixa School system and Inman Intermediate. The love this community has for its school and educators is beyond any I have ever experienced.
I have a passion for working with resource students as I struggled in school with math. If I had been given the tools we have today, I might not have struggled as much. I look forward to integrating technology into differentiated instruction to help my students find strategies to help them succeed and become amazing young girls and boys.
