Nixa Back to School Bash

The only requirement is to be a Nixa Public Schools student in kindergarten to 12th grade who needs assistance.

During sign-up, please indicate that you need a translator. We try to accommodate by hiring translators to assist families throughout the bash.

Due to limited resources, we can accommodate only Nixa students. If you need assistance but attend another school district, please contact your child's school district.

The deadline will be Tuesday, July 7, 2026. A cut-off is needed to order all the necessary school supplies and have them on hand for the bash.

Unfortunately, we are currently at capacity for the Bash.

Yes, you can still attend and pick up their supplies, even if your student is not present. We recommend they attend to try on shoes and pick out their supplies; however, it is not required. 

No, due to limited resources, we can accommodate only Nixa students in kindergarten through 12th grade. 

We will contact everyone who signed up for the bash via email by mid-July to alert them of their appointment time. Appointment times are from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a "first-come, first-served" event following immediately from 11:30 to noon for those who registered after the deadline. 

We still ask families who missed the deadline to register so we can try to accommodate them as best we can.

Once signed up, please arrive at your scheduled time, which will be communicated to you via email in July. 

We want to ensure we have enough volunteers ready to assist families during their appointments.

A "first-come, first-served" event follows immediately from 11:30 to noon for those who registered after the deadline. We still ask families to register so we can try to accommodate them as best we can.

Each student gets a backpack, hygiene supplies, basic school supplies (based on the student's grade level), clothes, a new pair of shoes, and additional resources.

Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grades

• 1 backpack
• 2 packages of pencils (Ticonderoga preferred)
• 2 boxes of Crayola crayons
•  4 Elmer’s glue sticks (Elmer’s preferred)
• 1 bottle of glue (Elmer’s preferred)
• 1 pair of scissors
• 4 Black Expo markers
• 2 erasers
• 1 set of headphones
• K-2nd Over-ear 
• 3rd-4th In-ear
   

5th & 6th Grades

• 1 backpack
• 2 packages of pencils (Ticonderoga preferred)
• 2 packages of loose paper (wide-ruled)
• 1 scissors
• 4 Black expo markers
• 2 composition notebooks
• 1 in-ear buds headphones
• If funding allows: 1 scientific calculator (TI 30 XIIs preferred)- 6th grade only requests this as well

7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th Grades

• 1 backpack
• 2 packages of pencils 
• 1 package of loose-leaf paper 
• 2 spiral notebooks 
• 2 binders 
• 4 folders
• 1 package of pens (multi-colored)
• 1 in-ear buds headphones
• 2 highlighters
• If funding allows: 1 scientific calculator (TI 30 XIIs preferred, but any will work)

Please note that we are unable to provide a complete list of all school supplies needed for each school. We have limited resources to provide school supplies to up to 1,000 students. Thank you for your understanding.
