Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration will be held online starting the evening of February 19, or in person at the Registration Center, 308 S Little Eagle Dr, Nixa, beginning Monday, February 23. 

Who:  New kindergarten students to Nixa Public Schools that will be five (5) years old on or before July 31, 2026.  If your child is a current Early Learning Center or Early Childhood Center student at Nixa Schools, you do NOT need to complete a Kindergarten Registration.  

When:  You can complete the online registration beginning the evening of February 19.  You will be given the opportunity to upload all required documents.  If you are unable to upload the documents or prefer to complete the registration in person, you can stop by the Nixa Registration Center Monday through Thursday between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm.  Your child does NOT need to be present during the registration process.

Kindergarten Screening appointments will be available at the end of your Kindergarten Registration form.  Kindergarten Screenings will be held at the APEX in April.  You will sign up for a day and time based on your home boundary school.  The link to sign up will be available on the Next Steps page of your Kindergarten Registration form. 

You will not want to miss Kindergarten Screening!  This is a special day for you and your kindergarten students to spend together preparing them for Kindergarten.  Your child will be rotating through various activity stations with peers while parents meet the school staff members and learn more about the school.

Who:  All students that will be attending kindergarten on August 25, 2026.  This includes both NEW students to Nixa and our CURRENT Nixa Public School's Early Learning Center & Early Childhood Center preschool students.

When: April 9-16, 2026
