Football fans were not quite sure what to expect last Friday night when they entered Eagle Stadium as the threat of storms reigned in the area. As the night went on and the rain stayed away, the Eagles ran away from the Republic Tigers with a convincing victory. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our schools especially United Plumbing, Air Services, and SportClips Nixa!

Junior high students can take classes like archery in June, which aren't offered during the regular school year. This allows those entering their seventh-grade year to understand what school will be like in a new building. Administrators have noticed that the kids who take summer classes tend to ask fewer questions during the first few weeks of school and are better acclimated to the routine.

Students normally work on one project at a time in a class that doesn't run into their next class. Rarely will they work on the same project in three different classes. Last spring at Century, that is exactly what happened in their enrichment classes. In library, students learned how to write a book review, they then went into computer class to add a video component, and then finally in art class they created a poster to display their book review adding a QR code. Kids learned all sorts of new skills and were able to share their work with their parents during the spring showcase event and around the school for everyone to enjoy.
