Staff

Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2010 and began her nursing career working in an Emergency Department/Cardiac Observation Unit. In 2014 she joined Nixa Public Schools as a high school nurse. In 2020, she earned her National Board Certification in School Nursing (NCSN), and in 2021 took over the NPS Lead Nurse role. 

In 2024, Lindsay earned her Master of Science: Nurse Executive degree. Her passion is to find ways to promote and implement positive change that benefits the health and well-being of school-aged children and educators in Nixa and throughout Missouri. She serves on multiple NPS committees including the Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC), the Staff Wellness Committee, and the School Safety Team. Additionally,  Lindsay is an active Board Member of the Missouri Association of School Nurses. 

She lives in Nixa with her husband and two school-aged children. If she cannot be found at school, she is likely visiting Table Rock Lake to spend time with her family.

Melinda  graduated with Associates of Science in Nursing from Missouri - State West Plains, in 2002, and Bachelors of Science of Nursing from Southwest Baptist University in 2008.  She earned 13 years of patient care experience working in a level 1 Trauma Center, critical/ intensive care units, and a cardiac cath lab . She joined NPS's team of nurses in 2015 at Summit Intermediate. In 2021, she transferred to the high School and earned her National Board Certification in School Nursing (NCSN) in 2024.  Melinda strives to be an advocate for ALL of the health needs of her students.
