Nixa's SHAC presents a special evening celebrating creativity, connection, and well-being called Mind Canvas.
Date: Monday, April 13, 2026
Location: Aetos Center for the Performing Arts
Walk through the gallery, enjoy beautiful music, and experience how creativity impacts our hearts and minds. This is a night to reflect, appreciate, and celebrate the talents of our students and the strength of our community. Students interested in participating can contact their school art teacher for participating. All are welcome — bring family, friends, and anyone who loves art and encouragement.

How to Participate
Theme: Expressing Gratitude
What are you grateful for? Family, friends, pets, nature, opportunities, or anything that brings you joy—show it through your art!
- Open to all Nixa students K–12
- Original artwork only (no tracing/copying)
- One entry per student
- Contact your school's art teacher about how to participate. Artwork should be submitted to your building's art teacher by April 6, 2026.

- Any 2D medium allowed: Drawing (pencil, charcoal, ink), painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil), mixed media (collage, found objects), and digital art (must be printed & mounted).
- Size Limit: Max 18” x 24”
- Presentation: Ready to display (sturdy paper, canvas, or mounted)
- Prizes: Random prize drawings for each grade division: K–4th, 5th–8th, and 9th–12th. All prize packages valued at over $100!
