Daily Announcements - December 10, 2018
FCCLA: We will meet every Tuesday between now and Christmas break. At our Dec 11 meeting we will be making our Christmas ornaments and collecting our adopt a family donations. On Friday, Dec 14, we will be having our Sneaky Santa Snack Day. Our Christmas dinner party will be on the final Tuesday, December 18, after school. Your $5 Sneaky Santa Gift is due then as well. This party will be from 3:00-6:00 pm.
8th Grade Girls Basketball Info: We start COC this week and it is being held in Webb City Middle School this year. We received the 2nd seed and play Carthage tonight at 5:30 pm. Our bus will be leaving at 2:45 today. GO Eagles!
Drama Club present Christmaspalooza 2018 on December 13th at 7 pm in the school auditorium! This is an evening of fun holiday themed scenes and sketches. Admission if $3 for adults and $2 for students. Save $1 with any non-perishable food item.
Boys Basketball will be played at the Republic High School tonight. 8th graders in the big gym and 7th graders in the auxilary gym. The address is 4370 S Repmo Drive, Republic, MO, 65732.
7th Grade Talent Show Info: Talent show will be the morning of December 20th. This is the last day before Christmas Break. Rehearsal will be December 18th after school. Rehearsal is mandatory to perform in the talent show.
Updates From Mrs. Williamson:
- Our piano recital day will be Thursday, December 13 during 1st and 5th hours. Parents attending will need to enter the junior high building on the south side by the front office, sign in and get a visitor's badge before walking down to room N20 for the recitals. 1st hour begins at 7:40 and 5th hour begins at 11:11
Weightlifting Training Info: Training is every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:00 pm. You must have a current sports physical on file in the office. These sessions are for any athlete not in a sport or in weight lifting class right now. If you have questions you can contact Coach West or or Coach Hutch.
Library Fines may be paid off in canned/boxed food items. Each item is worth 50 cents toward your library fine. All of these will be donated to Least of These Food Pantry.
8th Grade Dodgeball Info: Our tournament will be on December 20. Team sign ups will be the week of December 10th during Advisory. Only one team representative needs to report info to Mrs. Ferguson's room (C11) with team name, list of players, and $3 for your team entry. Double Elimination. We will be starting at 8:00 am and will get all games in this day. We will continue tournament play after lunch if we need to. Same rules as last year. You must have 6 players on your team and at least 2 memebers of your team must be the opposite gender. Friday, December 14th, is the last day that Mrs. Ferguson will take team sign ups during Advisory. If you want to play on a team and can't find enough players, email firstname.lastname@example.org and she will try to find your a team to play with. If students want to go and watch the cost is 50 cents and you can pay your Advisory teacher. Money for spectators is due by Wednesday, December 19th.
Every Monday from 3-4 pm in room N19 there is a new club for students who want to have Bible study with friends. Rylee Snyder and Maddie Middleton are the students who host this club.
EMS is back in session! Do you need a place to go before school to concentrate on work, a place you can relax and focus on what you need to do, a place that has resources available to complete projects? Stop by the EARLY MORNING STUDY in room N13. Club starts at 7 am every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Zauss (email@example.com).
Math Grading in the Flex Room 6:45-7:15 am daily has begun. Students are welcome to come grade redos, absent work, and let a math teacher help with quick questions from your practice.
Power Hours are now being held weekly on Monday evenings from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Flex Room. There are two math teachers and one English teacher available. Any student may attend to receive additional help, make up tests (prearranged with teachers), utilize WiFi, work on group projects, etc. Student will sign out as a record of their attendance.
